Folio from The "Hours of Catherine of Cleves", showing an angel leading souls from the jaws of Hell, with script in Latin. In the lower border, a man is trying to catch birds in a noose, using two caged birds as decoys. The book is a Gothic manuscript and book of hours, illuminated by the Master of Catherine of Cleves, and at least two assistants, in Utrecht c. 1440.
