Human Slide Shows Excellence Poster

Human Slide Shows are series of Tableau— several frozen pictures that actors make with their bodies to depict significant moments in a story or incident. Each Tableau is presented in chronological order to show what happened first, second, third, etc. in a sequence of events. This poster lists and describes the criteria for excellence in in Human Slide Shows so that teachers can share it with students and expand their Tableau experiences. Human Slide Shows compel students to think like actors and directors. They examine events in literature, historical episodes, and other curriculum topics, and make artistic choices about how to stage the action and present it as a human slide show.
