Idaho Springs, Colorado Thank You Card
While visiting family in Colorado, they took us to the cute small town of Idaho Springs. It is located near Clear Creek Canyon in the mountains, upstream from the city of Golden, Colorado. It was founded in 1859 by local prospectors during the early days of the Pike's Peak Gold Rush. It was home to the Argo Gold Mine & Mill & Argo Tunnel that produced much gold during the old mining days. The old buildings on the main road give its character of an old mountain mining town. It's a fun place to visit! Photo taken January 2009.
