This is an absolutely fantastic original work of art by 15-year old American Artist, M. K. Simmons. This amazing piece, done entirely by hand in conventional pastels and digitally converted for wrapped canvas, marks the public debut of this very talented young artist. Although the artwork itself is stunning, the deep meaning behind the magnificent drawing is even more impressive, especially for so young an artist: "Identity" depicts an individual who, without the arbitrary assignment of a name or set of numbers is thought of as a non-person, but in reality our true identity is simply the person that we BELIEVE ourselves to be.
