The Chinese character "Double Happiness" spelled xi or "hsi" in Mandarin and pronounced "shuang-xi" is a well-known Chinese character used traditionally in Chinese wedding as a symbol of love, happiness, and luck for the newly wedded couple. The colour red is an auspicious as well as a popular colour in Chinese culture. It symbolises luck, happiness, and joy. Yellow is an imperial colour in Chinese culture representing power, royalty, and prosperity. The use of contemporary fonts completes the design.
