In the Garden, Giverny (c. 1910) By Frederick Frieseke is a vintage fine art floral impressionism portrait painting. A woman is sitting in a chair wearing a beautiful blue and white striped dress and a bonnet or sun hat.The lady is holding an umbrella or parasol in a flower garden with many blooming spring flowers. About the artist: Frederick Carl Frieseke (1874-1939) was an American Impressionist painter who spent most of his life as an expatriate in France. He was an influential member of the Giverny art colony, his paintings often concentrated on various effects of dappled sunlight. He is especially known for painting female subjects.
