Isaiah 9 Bible Verse Calligraphy Celtic Knot Invitation
A beautiful and unusual mediaeval illuminated manuscript style featuring a traditional Scottish Celtic Knot in shades of red and green. Verses from Isaiah chapters 7 and 9 written in Uncial calligraphy within the intertwining loops. The script originates in early mediaeval times and was used for ancient Christian texts in the British Isles. On the back of the card are the words from Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child a born, to us a son is given.” This passage about Immanuel and the Virgin birth bring to mind the true meaning of Christmas.
