About This Design

Ishtar Gate mug

The Ishtar Gate was part of the Processional Way into the city of Babylon. It was excavated and recovered in the early decades of the 20th century. It was an ancient commemoration of Ishtar, now known as Venus. The Babylonians were one of the earliest astrology practicing cultures. On this mug, where the opening for the entry in ancient times was, is a background showing the centre of the Milky Way galaxy and in the foreground, a diagram of the orbit of Venus over its eight year cycle. This mug celebrates the star of the goddess of love and beauty.

Classic Mug, 325 ml
I have ordered from zazzle before and it was perfect. This time the mug has arrived in great time but the mug has rubbed on the box and has affected the image, I was hoping to get in touch with the creator but can’t seem to find a way of contacting them. We would love another sent out maybe wrapped in bubble wrap to protect the image. Would love to hear back from the creator. Kind regards, Lisa.
