Italian Woman Dancing Among Daggers Stone Coaster

This design features a painting by the Polish artist Henryk Siemiradzki (1843–1902), who spent most of his working life in Rome, the capital city of Italy. It shows a beautiful woman who is undressed and dancing between swords to provide entertainment while a group of men watch and some women play music to accompany the dance. The scene is set in an Italy garden, perhaps during the time of ancient Rome. Behind the dancing lady, there is a coastal landscape with blue water in the bay. The original art was painted in 1881.
