Itzpapalotl is the Aztec Goddess of the sacrificial flint knife. Her name means 'Obsidian Butterfly' or 'Clawed Butterfly', the latter likely referring to the bat. She is one of the tzitzimime or star demons as well as one of the cihuateotl, spirits of women who died in childbirth. She rules Tamoanchan, the paradise from where humans originated. We downloaded several photos which was simple and produced a very attractive personalised card for our 11yr old Granddaughter. I was concerned that the card would not arrive on time but Zazzle came up trumps and the card arrived on the day before her birthday - perfect! I didn't see the card as it went straight to our family in New Zealand. However they did send a photo and it looked excellent!
