Alexander Andreyevich Ivanov ) was a Russian painter who was born and died in Saint Petersburg. He has been called the master of one work, for it took 20 years (1837–57) to complete his magnum opus, The Appearance of Christ before the People, which is shown here.

The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it.
