"James Joyce Jams” is a tinted colour digital reinterpretation of a 1938 Gisele Freund black-and-white photograph, composed of areas tinted red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, and "flesh tone." James Joyce, sporting a suit of Ulysses Blue and a green rose corsage, plays piano while a black-and white self-portrait and his son Giorgio, in a striking indigo outfit, watch the performance. The picture is framed in Shamrock Green, with the phrase "James Joyce Jams” at the bottom.
