Japanese Rat Snake live in Japan and Kunashiri (Kurile Islands group, Russia). In Japanese it is known as the aodaishō or "blue general". It is a non-venomous snake. They are beautiful and easy kept snakes, but these snakes are little nervous animals. The colour is variable, from pale yellow-green to dark blue-green.
