    Japanese tattoo style Neck Tie

    Japanese tattoo style Neck Tie

Style history The history of Japanese tattooing goes back millennia. This is one of the oldest types of body painting. To this day, experienced craftsmen from Japan keep the traditions of applying colour and b / w tattoos, preferring metal knitting needles and bamboo sticks to modern machines. It is believed that the Japanese style was formed from Polynesian images. At first, these were abstract compositions, then - fish and animals. The motives changed, depending on the era. In the early Middle Ages, criminals were identified with the help of body drawings, and professions were designated. There was a special sign of a traitor - a tattoo in the form of the Japanese hieroglyph "dog". After the advent of the samurai, amulets and paintings became popular, demonstrating strength and courage. In the so-called era of tranquillity, tattoos turned into signs of love, religious paintings and images of Buddha became popular. During the dictatorship (17th century), tattoos were banned in Japan. And although people still made them and hid them under clothes, the popularity of wearable designs decreased slightly. A new heyday of this art form occurred thanks to geishas who got tattoos in the form of holiday kimonos.
