About This Design

Jellyfish. Simple. Classic. Cool.

Fascinating fact: jellyfish of the genus Cassiopea spend most of their lives upside down so that the algae living in their tentacles can get the sunlight they need for photosynthesis. This is not, however, one of those jellyfish. This is a (frankly, more attractive) species of jellyfish that lives upside down on iPhone cases because otherwise the camera hole would create a huge gaping void in the bell. Aren't the adaptive capabilities of nature wonderful? Illustration by Ernst Haeckel, who probably would have angled the body differently if he'd waited to draw this until after the iPhone5 came out.
