A mother's womb is the first space in the life of a child. The months of pregnancy are a very precious and delicate time. During this pregnancy time, a woman prays to God to conceive healthy children, to carry them safely through nine months of pregnancy, to birth healthy children and to sustain them to adulthood. In this unique artwork, I used part of the 9-month prayer from Rabbi Haim Yosef David Azulai, author, traveller, and father of modern Hebrew bibliography. Known as the Chidah, he was highly respected for his great piety and scholarship, and he wrote no less than 71 works.
