Sixteen-petaled Chrysanthemum Crest Watch

The Imperial Crest of Japan. Background color is crimson. Chrysanthemum emblem is gold. Width is 1.5 times the length. Center of chrysanthemum is at the center of the flag. Diameter of the center is 1/10 of the length. Diameter of the chrysanthemum is 2/3 of the length. In 1869, the types of chrysanthemum crests for princely families were regulated, and later 'Imperial Family Crest Prototype' was illustrated... The crest itself was strictly defined in the 'Imperial Family Rituals Order' of 1926... The 'Imperial Family Rituals Order' was abolished in 1947. Currently, there are no legal prohibitions, but it is protected by trademark. ('Comprehensive View of Japanese Family Crests' Shin Jinbutsu Oraisha) Note that this design is not drawn according to the regulations.
