About This Design

Katzenstudien (Study of a Cat) 1909 Postcard

Katzenstudien (Study of a Cat) (1909) by August Macke is a charming and intimate oil painting that captures the essence of feline grace and curiosity. This artwork features a detailed study of a cat, showcasing Macke's keen observation skills and his ability to render the animal's form with delicate brushstrokes. The cat is depicted in a relaxed pose, with its fur meticulously painted to highlight the texture and softness. The background is kept minimal, allowing the viewer's focus to remain on the cat. This piece reflects Macke's interest in everyday subjects and his talent for infusing them with a sense of warmth and personality.

Such a huge range of different frogs available, which made my choices very difficult and now the reason I have a whole draw full of cards and postcards! Much better quality than you can buy in the shops and they are exactly on the subject I love and adore too.
