The Khanda (Punjabi: ਖੰਡਾ, romanised: khaṇḍā) is the symbol of the Sikh faith which attained its current form around the 1930s. The proposed nation-state would consist of land that currently forms Punjab, India and Punjab, Pakistan with Lahore as its capital, that is past geographical area of Punjab region, where the Khalsa Empire was established.
