Happy Birthday. GWR King class 4-cylinder 4-6-0 No. 6024 King Edward I. King Edward I served for over thirty years on the Great Western Railway and the Western Region of British Railways, regularly hauling prestige express passenger services such as the Cornish Riviera Express. The restoration to mainline running condition took sixteen years, and on the 15 April 1990 King Edward resumed his career hauling revenue-earning passenger trains. We downloaded several photos which was simple and produced a very attractive personalised card for our 11yr old Granddaughter.
I was concerned that the card would not arrive on time but Zazzle came up trumps and the card arrived on the day before her birthday - perfect! I didn't see the card as it went straight to our family in New Zealand. However they did send a photo and it looked excellent!
