Kintsugi - repaired identity luggage tag
Kintsugi (or kintsukuroi) is an old tradition in Japanese art, which makes mistakes or cracks in pottery with precious metals, mostly gold or a mixture of gold and other metals, such as brass. This does not conceal mistakes, as would be the case in the West, but rather goes in the opposite direction to highlight imperfections. This tradition is deeply rooted in the elusive notion of Wabi sabi. It's an approach that reflects nature rather than perfecting it. Something very Asian and, sometimes, against Western ideas. As such, it can also teach us to accept personal imperfections that others and, even more difficult, our own. It is about peace and peace, reconciliation. Excuse me. It's about sheer beauty and understanding.
