Korean Baby's First Birthday Card
"Dol" is a Korean tradition that celebrates the birthday of a 1 year old baby. We usually throw a very big party on the day, inviting relatives and friends. This image shows two toddlers who are dressed in Korean traditional costumes that are worn by babies on their very first birthday. In the background, you can see other objects such as sun, stones, water, clouds, a pine tree, bamboos, turtles, a crane, mountains, and herbs. These ten things are called Sip-Jang-Seng in Korean, and they stand as a symbol for eternal youth and longevity. We downloaded several photos which was simple and produced a very attractive personalised card for our 11yr old Granddaughter.
I was concerned that the card would not arrive on time but Zazzle came up trumps and the card arrived on the day before her birthday - perfect! I didn't see the card as it went straight to our family in New Zealand. However they did send a photo and it looked excellent!
