I painted this picture shortly after my wonderful Labrador German shepherd cross dog passed away. I named him Tod because when he was a puppy he looked like a little fox and “Tod” is another name for a fox, I always loved the photo that this painting is taken from because it shows how affectionate Tod was, he loved to cuddle up and in this photograph he’s cuddling a knitted jumper of mine. Sadly Tod was a troubled dog because he’d spent the first 12 weeks of his puppy life in a small cage in a pet shop, I just had to rescue him from the situation. He was one of the most loving and loyal dogs I’ve had, but when he was two years old he become severely epileptic and when he was 8 years old the epilepsy took him from me. This painting makes me smile when I think of all the wonderful memories I have of Tod and I hope you enjoy the image too. I titled the original painting "A Loyal Friend" simply because that's what my dear boy was. This canvas art print of my dog Tod will look nice on anyone’s wall, the look in his eyes shows the pure and gentle love that a dog can share with us humans. This print is customisable and you can alter the title text to your own language if you wish to do so, or you can add a personal message. The original artwork to this dog portrait painting is in watercolour.

Very impressive product! The canvas is sturdily made. It features a saw tooth hanger on the back, making it easy to "try out" the canvas in several rooms until I found the best location. It attracts good comments from my friends. I love it! The printing is wonderful! Colors are as bright and crisp as they appeared on the website.
