Ladder Calendar Planner

Ladder Calendar Planner

Walking under a ladder is logically a dangerous thing to do but the origins of this superstition offer a much darker reasoning as to why you should avoid venturing beneath. This folklore has three main origins and each deals with evil spirits and their inhabiting the space beneath the ladder. 1) In ancient Egypt the dead were buried with ladders which they could use to climb from the tomb when they chose to ascend from it. To walk beneath the ladder was to offend the dead and awaken the spirits who reside within the space between the three sides of the open ladder. 2) In Christianity the Holy Trinity consisting of three parts also brings the three sides of an open ladder into being seen as potentially sacred. To walk through the three sides was to threaten the Holy Trinity itself. In addition to being seen as blasphemous one could be exposed to evil spirits and risk being possessed by them. 3) Gallows of old had a ladder which was used for the doomed to climb up to the rope. This ladder was also used to bring the body back down. Walking under a ladder could have you destined for the gallows and death

The hardcovers are super sturdy, they came undamaged, the print on the front was as expected. The interior of the notebook is good for planning monthly and weekly. The notes section is a bit small for my taste, but I can manage. I like the idea that months are only numbered at the beginning and not afterward, you get to write the numbers of the days and weeks as you wish. The printing turned out as expected, not too big of a difference from the colors seen on screen.
