Lamia and the Soldier - Painting shows woman kneeling in front of a soldier. John William Waterhouse (1849—1917) was an English Pre-Raphaelite painter who is most famous for his paintings of female characters from Greek and Arthurian mythology. Waterhouse was one of the final Pre-Raphaelite artists, being most productive in the latter decades of the 19th century and early decades of the 20th, long after the era of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Because of this, he has been referred to as "the modern Pre-Raphaelite", and incorporated techniques borrowed from the French Impressionists into his work.

This is my favorite painting! When it arrived, there were a few tears, but Dazzle customer service is so helpful and friendly, they fixed the problem and sent a new one quickly. I totally recommend buying this here, if you're on the fence. I was worried that the size was so large, the picture would come out distorted, but it turned out great. The print is clear, and the paper is good quality. Great job!

I originally ordered this print in a larger size but was not pleased with the clarity of it. When I contacted Zazzle, they responded really quickly and were very helpful. I was able to reorder the print in a smaller size and it was shipped to me within a couple of weeks. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it.
