This is a visual representation of the song Lateralus. Below the surface are levels of metaphors and concepts adding to the work of art. There is not just one meaning to the song so my design has lead itself to become personal to the individual. But in simplest form, it is an image that urges one to discover true self, that balance within rhythms, cycles and structures comes growth. That each stage of development refers to its prior state in order to take the next evolving step. Keep going as high and as low as you can to take in whatever you learn to change, act, think, love, and live life.
