Leap Day February 29, 2024 Postcard

Did you know that 2024 is a leap year? It is, with 366 days. February 29 is leap day, that extra day added to the month of February every four years, with some exceptions. This is a special year, since it is the beginning of a new decade. Leap days are added to the calendar to keep our Gregorian calendar aligned with the planet Earth’s orbit around the sun, called the astronomical or seasonal year.
