Lemon Henry Blind lemon jefferson 1926 Card
A 19th and 20th century Afro American blues and, gospel singer, songwriter, and musician. He was one of the most popular blues singers of the 1920s and has been called the “Father of the Texas Blues.” He was born blind near Coutchman, Texas. Jefferson did what few had ever done before him – he became a successful solo guitarist and male vocalist in the commercial recording world. He died in Chicago from acute myocarditis.
