Leonardo da Vinci's Annunciation of the Lord Canvas Print
The Annunciation (aka The Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary or Annunciation of the Lord) c. 1472-1475 by artists Leonardo da Vinci and Andrea del Verrocchio is a vintage Renaissance Era fine art religious portrait painting. The Christian celebration of the announcement by the archangel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary Magdalene that she would become the mother of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Despite being a virgin, Mary would miraculously conceive a child who would be called the Son of God. Gabriel told Mary to name her son Jesus.
The angel holds a Madonna lily, a symbol of Mary's virginity and of the city of Florence. It is supposed that Leonardo originally copied the wings from those of a bird in flight, but they have since been lengthened by a later artist.
The marble table, in front of the Virgin, probably quotes the tomb of Piero and Giovanni de' Medici in the Basilica of San Lorenzo, Florence, which Verrocchio had sculpted during this same period. Some immature hesitancies are usually noted, especially the Virgin's ambiguous spatial relation to the desk and the marble on which it rests.

Very impressive product! The canvas is sturdily made. It features a saw tooth hanger on the back, making it easy to "try out" the canvas in several rooms until I found the best location. It attracts good comments from my friends. I love it! The printing is wonderful! Colors are as bright and crisp as they appeared on the website.

I needed an odd size piece of art to cover an ugly electric box panel in my newly finished basement. This piece fit the bill exactly. I've always loved Alphonse Mucha's art and this product was the exact size and style I was looking for. The art is vivid and looks great in my new bathroom. The print was really like something that would be purchased in a gallery. One of the panels needed to be re-stretched but that’s easy. I did 4 panels which when hung together made one huge image. I then enhanced the canvas by painting over some areas.. and then used permanent markers. The result was a personalized artistic piece for a clients early modern home. This piece far exceeded my expectations. Will definitely go back and use this idea again. Exact representation of image sent. Be aware that photos have pixelated flaws... if these little dark specks aren’t cleaned up using common computer techniques, they will be represented in the final canvas print..... so go over the image and make sure all flaws have been erased prior to submitting it. The reproduction is exactly what you send.
