Original vintage artwork done by Charles Twelvetrees. This vintage Valentine features two children, a little girl and a boy, hugging and vowing to be Valentines. Charles Twelvetrees was a man of mystery. There was a Charles R. and a Charles H. who were alleged by some to be father and son. Many of the cards that were made were signed CT, others say C Twelvetrees and some say Charles H. Whoever the man behind the name may have been, Twelvetrees excelled in images of chubby cheeked children.
