Lewis Chessman Poster Print

Our beautiful poster print for chess fans features a photograph of a wooden carving of one of the famous Lewis chessmen. The chess pieces were discovered in the sands of Uig Bay on the island of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides the 19th century. The set was originally carved from Walrus ivory and whale teeth by Vikings over 850 years ago. The wooden chess man shown here is reproduced on a larger scale and is located at Ardroil on Lewis. I've added a scenic coastal photograph to the background.

I was able to reorder the print in a smaller size and it was shipped to me within a couple of weeks. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it. The colours were rich and the image sharp.
