Behind the image of the proud rooster is text from the book which charmingly reads: "On a well kept lawn there is nothing handsomer than a flock of light Brahmas." The beautiful large Brahma breed with their profuse feathering can originally be traced to China although much of the breeds development took place in the U.S. in the late 19th century.
