Lighthouse & Keepers House Standard Apron
Lighthouse are one of those seacoast structures that have become a beautiful yet useful Americana symbol. This lighthouse and its keepers house is on the coast of Maine. Commonly called Nubble lighthouse it is perched on a tiny island connected to the mainland with a very unique cable car for use by the Coast Guard and the lighthouse keeper. Lighthouses have always attracted lots of visitors. Lighthouses are a popular image in nautical and seacoast wall decor. Cottages on the beach and homes near the ocean frequently have lighthouses as decorations inside and outside. But lighthouses are more than just a tourist attraction. The Coast Guard maintains lighthouses from the coast of Maine all around the United States including Alaska and Hawaii. Lighthouses are an important part of navigation for ships. Lighthouses of also become a symbol of dependability, a guiding light for one’s life and it is not uncommon to find everything from churches to businesses using the lighthouse as a symbol. But there really is nothing more nautical men the image of the lighthouse. At the Nubble lighthouse in Maine the setting is so beautiful weddings have been performed with the Nubble lighthouse as a backdrop. The combination of the lighthouse, the lighthouse keepers house, the foghorn shed and the unique little cable car strung between the island and the mainland Maine seacoast is almost always picture-perfect. No wonder with those that love the seacoast, ocean, beach and the nautical theme in general the lighthouse has been and always will be popular and therefore lighthouses have earned their place in Americana. This Nubble lighthouse and lighthouse keepers house image is part of a collection of best seller images of Americana art belonging to an on going series of images of farms, sewing machines, picnic baskets, outhouses, schoolhouses, churches, barns, birds, lighthouses plus Amish landscapes, buggies, and buildings created by Richard Neuman in his rural studio near McComb, Ohio. For 50 years Richard’s art has been continually evolving. During most of his early Americana work he used pens, brushes and watercolors. Each painting in this Americana art series was created this way. Today he creates the images in these series using a computer. Richard has recently converted the Americana originals into digitised art of very high quality. In his studio many steps using Photoshop and several other computer art programs are blended together with fifty years of art experience to create the Nubble lighthouse and lighthouse keepers house image for those that love things nautical especially lighthouses.

My daughter in law loved this gift. She loved the shorter length and the pockets. Good durable fabric and well made. Would highly recommend. The printing was awesome.. the only comment I would make is that the print could be placed higher on the bib part as when it is tied around the waist you can’t see the writing well.
