Lightning Bolts Over Lake Washington - August 17, 2024 - The sky above Lake Washington in Seattle had a serious case of drama this night, and we knew a storm was brewing. Big, moody clouds rolled in, looking like they meant business. Everything got strangely quiet, like the world was holding its breath. Then, without warning, a lightning bolt streaked across the sky, lighting hitting the lake with such violence and carrying the loudest crash along with it! Afterwards, more thunder and it was loud enough to shake the ground and maybe a few nerves. Although not as many lighting bolts as before, lighting continued and rain followed, coming down in wild sheets, turning everything into a soaking, stormy wonderland. We don't get many thunder and lighting storms in Seattle, but this was one in August, 2024 was one for the record books! Photography and design © by T.K.
