12 mos is usually a bit loose on my daughter, but this was snug across her tummy. The material is thicker than most shirts but also kinda stiff- not soft like most baby shirts, so that was a little disappointing. The design came out just as picture, though I wish it were about an inch or two higher up on the shirt so it was across the chest, not the belly.
