Lost Virginia Deer Fawn Baby Animal Wildlife Photo Mouse Pad

A very young Deer Fawn was swept over a small waterfall and on down a short river into a lake. She was separated from her Mother and bravely swam along the river currents to the shore for safety. I was very surprised to notice that as I watched her kicking against the current, she was making her way right to where I was standing (while photographing an American White Pelican a moment before). Her Mother must have been very nearby as the little one seemed to know where she was heading.
