As a Maine-based artist with deep roots in the Lewiston/Auburn and Lisbon area for over 15 years, my heart aches for the families affected by the recent tragedy in our community. Like many of you, I hold cherished memories of Spare Time/Just In Time Bowling, Schemengees Bar & Grill, and the Papermill boat launch and walking path in Lisbon, which will never be the same. I truly wish to help, and the best way I can is through art! I believe as a nation we should designate all families affected by the heart-wrenching toll of mass shootings as "Blue Heart Families". This designation would serve as a symbol of unity and support, while acknowledging the lasting impact of these tragic events on their lives.
