Luddites - They Had The Right Idea Notebook

Luddites were English textile workers and weavers in the early 1800’s, who saw the the industrial revolution as a threat to their jobs. They destroyed weaving machinery with the hope of holding back the tide of automation that represented the progress of technology. Anyone who has lost a job to robots or automation or simply a disruptive technology can sympathise with the plight of the Luddites. While violence or vandalism is clearly wrong, one can certainly let off a little steam with a Luddite themed product, especially on Labour Day.
