Lughnasadh Goddess Tailtiu Plaque

This is a portrait of the Celtic Goddess Aine wearing a headdress for Lughnasadh. The headdress is decorated with wheat, corn, and poppies. The background has grape leaves, corn leaves, and more wheat. Other symbols of the harvest represented for this agrarian celebration are seeds in a spiral around her breast, and a Celtic bride's cross representing the Sun at her throat. Her eyes are the green of healthy growth and her braid the colour of rich soil. This is a great way to have an image of the Goddess on display on the Lammas altar.
