A card with my macaw painting. Most macaws are now endangered in the wild & six species of macaw are extinct. The greatest problems threatening their population are the rapid rate of deforestation and illegal trapping. Macaws have been said to live for up to 100 years, but their average life span is 50 years. Macaws are monogamous and mate for life.
