A religious portraiture of the Madonna and Child with Mary Magdalene holding the infant baby Jesus Christ with golden halos and surrounded by roses. About the artist: William-Adolphe Bouguereau (1825-1905) was an academic painter in realism and a staunch traditionalist whose realistic style and mythological themes were modern interpretations of classical subjects.
