"Madonna of the Shells"- the classic image of the Madonna, blending the iconic style with the beauty of nature - specifically that of the sea! Beautiful seashells and corals are painted on the side panels. She has a lovely halo I did in gold leaf. Of course, I had to include my personal favourite of all the shells - the Nautilus - a perfect spiral symbolising infinity. My husband Matt did the woodwork for the original piece (it was an actual folding triptych, three panels with hinges - mediaeval/renaissance style). I originally ordered this print in a larger size but was not pleased with the clarity of it. When I contacted Zazzle, they responded really quickly and were very helpful. I was able to reorder the print in a smaller size and it was shipped to me within a couple of weeks. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it.
