This was taken at Sedgwick County Zoo, Wichita, Kansas, on February 9th, 2013. They are "visitors" rather than "residents" of the zoo, like many other ducks and geese who find zoos an excellent place to winter and raise young. Because they get so used to people who not only don't shoot them, but often feed them, you can get really close with no trouble at all.
