The pincers are made of waves because the scorpio in the zodiac is a water sign, and the two fish hooks are a symbol of wealth and abundance. Korus represent renewal and the matching spyrals are meant to represent encounters. In Indian traditions, the scorpion bite is considered similar to love for how it affects the behaviour of the people who get touched by it.
