Plate 356 Marsh Hawk (Northern Harrier, Circus hudsonius) from The Birds of America by John James Audubon.
This image was scanned at very high resolution directly from the original book, The Birds of America by naturalist and painter John James Audubon (published in sections between 1827 and 1838 as a series). It has then been edited, cropped, sharpened and enhanced as needed for large scale format and use. While some of the original flaws form the old print will remain, this is one of the best versions of this artworks available. All 435 hand coloured life-size watercolors in the original portfolio, reproduced from hand-engraved plates, are available. If you cannot find the image or plate you want please contact me through this store (Zephyrus Books) and I will be sure to get it posted for you.

We downloaded several photos which was simple and produced a very attractive personalised card for our 11yr old Granddaughter.
I was concerned that the card would not arrive on time but Zazzle came up trumps and the card arrived on the day before her birthday - perfect! I didn't see the card as it went straight to our family in New Zealand. However they did send a photo and it looked excellent!
