Martyr Romanus Deacon of Caesarea Prayer Card
Saint and martyr, Romanus of Caesarea, was a deacon of Caesarea and martyred at Antioch in early 4th century under the Diocletianic Persecution.
He urged Christians to remain firm. During a pagan festival, he upbraided the participants for worshiping idols. He was arrested and tortured. The officials tried to burn him at the stake, but it rained. They continued to torture him and ultimately martyred him.
