Maru ni Igeta Watch
Maru ni Igeta is a crest design featuring a square or rhombus shape, often surrounded by a circle. The 'Igeta' or 'ido' refers to the wooden framing around a well's opening, believed to be a sacred site due to its association with water and life. The design is thought to have originated from the spiritual significance of wells. The earliest recorded use of this crest is found in the 'Kenmon Shoka Mon', associated with the Ii clan, who used a character '井' (well) design that evolved into the 'Igeta' or 'Izutsu' crest.
