Nineteenth century Art Nouveau collage illustration by M. P. (Maurice Pillard) Verneuil (1869-1942) depicting pheasants. Verneuil (1869-1942) was a French artist and designer of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements. This illustration is from his 1897 book, L’animal dans la Décoration or The Animals in Decoration, which features collages of birds, insects, amphibians, reptiles and mammals in decorative art applications such as wallpaper, murals, furnishings and textiles. You can change the background and stripe colours to match your decor.
