Mehndi Ganesha Round Clock

Mehndi Ganesha Round Clock

Ganesha also spelled Ganesa and Ganesh, also known as Pillaiyar, Ganapati and Vinayaka, is one of the best-known and most widely worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon. His image is popular in in mehndi and other forms of Indian art, and are commonly found throughout India and Nepal. Devotion to Ganesha extends to Jains, Buddhists, and beyond India. While he is known by many other attributes, Ganesha's elephant head makes him particularly easy to identify. He is widely revered as the Remover of Obstacles, Lord of Beginnings and the Lord of Obstacles; both of a material and spiritual nature. Mehndi is a ceremonial art form which originated in ancient India. Muslims also use it as an indication of coming of age. Intricate patterns of mehndi are typically applied to brides before wedding ceremonies. The bridegroom is also painted in some parts of India. The word mehndi is derived from the Sanskrit word mendhikā. The use of mehndi is described in the earliest Hinduism's Vedic ritual books. Haldi (staining oneself with turmeric paste) as well as mehndi are Vedic customs, intended to be a symbolic representation of the outer and the inner sun. Vedic customs are centred around the idea of "awakening the inner light". "Customise It" Plus - with it's transparent background, you can also completely change the look of this design with the colour of your choice.

The clock did not take as long to arrive as I thought it might and was extremely well packaged. I didn't do the measurements so I didn't realize it is a little smaller than the average clock but that does not matter (just make sure you check if that's important to you).It is really nifty! It seems very solid and well made not flimsy at all. It has been going well and has kept good time in its few weeks on my wall. Nice product. Gets noticed too! Nicer in real life than the picture but true to the picture
