Vintage photomechanical print of Menai Strait in Bangor, Gwynedd, Wales, which was taken at the end of the 19th century. The image shows a view of the strait from Angelsey Column, with a suspension bridge at the far end of the strait and the Britannia Tubular Bridge at the closest end of the strait. The tubular bridge was rebuilt in the 1970s following a fire. Photograph courtesy of LOC (LC-DIG-ppmsc-07354).
